Joanna Wragg, APR
Joanna Wragg is a principal of Wragg & Casas Public Relations, Inc. She is an executive communications counselor who specializes in strategic planning, issues management and crisis communications. Clients include companies in the fields of Internet services, energy, environmental services, construction, and corporations involved in complex litigation or legislative issues.
Professional credentials include membership in the elite Counselors Academy of the Public Relations Society of America and Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) under the Nationwide Universal Accreditation Board. She is a member of the board of directors of the PRSA Miami Chapter and co-chairs the chapter’s committee on Accreditation.
A board member of the Community Partnership for Homeless and of the statewide business organization, Florida TaxWatch, Wragg is also immediate past chair of The Education Fund, a foundation that supports excellence in local public schools. She was a two-term member of the Board of Governors of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, co-chaired the Chamber’s Education Subcommittee on Workforce Development, and chaired the Chamber’s 1999 Ethics Summit Planning Committee.
A former journalist, Wragg is a past president of the National Conference of Editorial Writers and remains an active member of the organization. Formerly associate editor of The Miami Herald, Wragg was part of the team awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Editorial Writing. She previously had received the Sigma Delta Chi Distinguished Service Award for editorial writing and various state and local professional awards.
Locally Wragg is a member of the Key Biscayne Chamber of Commerce. She attended public schools in Orange County, Florida, graduated from Florida State University and did graduate work at the University of Miami.
