Media Scoop on Calle Ocho

A live radio broadcast on Feb. 11 at a Calle Ocho restaurant in Miami attracted television crews, fans and citizens interested in a hearing more about the Marlins ballpark.

Talk show hosts Ninoska Perez-Castellon and Pedro Milian on Radio Mambi (710 AM) interviewed Rebecca Sosa, Miami-Dade County commissioner, and Juan Martinez of the Marlins.

Sosa expressed support for the ballpark and clarified the fact that funding will be taken from tourist dollars and not from the pocket of taxpayers. The event took place at La Palma Restaurant.
