UnitedHealthcare and Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay Donate Bicycles to Students at Safety Event with onbikes, Hillsborough County Sheriffâs OfficeÂ

TAMPA, Fla. (Oct. 27, 2017) â Today, students in the George W. Jenkins Family Town ân Country
Club afterschool program at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay are taking home new bikes donated by UnitedHealthcare. The Hillsborough County Sheriffâs Office, in partnership with onbikes of Tampa, is conducting a bicycle safety demonstration for students prior to the donation.Fifty bicycles and helmets are being donated to elementary and middle-school students as part of a public service campaign by UnitedHealthcare to encourage kids and teens to wear helmets. Hillsborough County Sheriffâs Office deputies are helping with fitting the bicycles and helmets and teaching the students safe-riding skills.
Earlier in the day, UnitedHealthcare employee volunteers assembled the bicycles with onbikes, a Tampa nonprofit that provides local at-risk and foster children with bicycles and helmets. Â
