We are a full-service firm handling media relations, social media, community outreach and content creation for private and governmental clients. PUBLIC RELATIONS
Administrative assistant
Job description and general duties:
Open office in the morning, answer office phone and maintain records, check voice mails and general email inbox regularly, update contacts database, maintain principals’ calendars, track and clip news and social media items, handle U.S. mail, UPS and FedEx as needed, maintain and order office and kitchen supplies, communicate with building management, maintain/renew digital and print subscriptions, run local errands.
Position is in-office and can be full-time or part-time. Pay: $20 per hour.

Account Executive
Job description and general duties:
Promote clients on an ongoing basis through news media relations, social media strategies, community relations activities, research and related duties. Client industries include banking, law firms, health insurance, construction, not-for-profit clients, education, and local governments. Strategic thinking and English language writing skills a must. Proficiency in Spanish preferred but not required. Job functions include:
- Leading client engagements and communications,
- Creating content, including news releases and newsletters, correspondence, social media content and presentations
- Contacting and pitching story ideas to media on behalf of clients
- Maintaining contact with client on a regular basis
- Writing monthly client activity reports
- Researching and updating media lists
- Dealing with outside vendors on behalf of clients

Account Coordinator
Job description and general duties:
- Contribute to brainstorming sessions for client and agency initiatives
- Research topics and quickly grasp concepts
- Research media outlets and create targeted media lists
- Write press releases and by-lined articles
- Develop pitches for news media
- Help account executives with pitching story ideas and news events to print, TV and radio journalists/producers
- Assist with interviews, photo shoots and events
- Regular interaction with clients
- Track and analyze traditional and social coverage
- Research and develop community outreach plans including speaking engagements, awards and partnerships
- Track editorial calendars for pitching opportunities

Social Media specialist

Wragg & Casas is looking for an experienced, energetic and creative Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a Social Media Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing Social Media strategies for a variety of B2B clients to increase their online presence and increase audience engagement. You’ll working closely with the Account Executives and Senior Management to produce impactful content for the agency’s clients as well as Wragg & Casas.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement and manage corporate social media strategies
- Develop content calendars and recommend campaign strategies
- Create content that encourage and increase engagement
- Shoot and edit photos and video
- Manage social media content
- Define most important social media KPIs
- Measure and report on the success of social media campaigns
- Manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment on short deadlines
- Monitor SEO and user engagement and suggest content optimization
- Stay up to date with the latest social media best practices and technologies
- Work with copywriters and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing
Required Qualifications
- 2-4 years of experience in Social Media
- BS in Communications, Marketing, Business, New Media or Public Relations
- Demonstrable creative social media experience
- Deep understanding of digital marketing practices and platforms
- Excellent knowledge of Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Snapchat
- Strong command of social media best practices, trends and platform changes
- Expert with content scheduling and metric-tracking programs (HootSuite, TweetDeck)
- Familiarity with web design, web development, CRO, SEO and publishing
- Understanding of SEO and web traffic metrics and social media KPIs
- Working knowledge of popular photo and video applications including Photoshop / ImageReady / Final Cut / iMovie / Premiere Pro, and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with conducting audience persona research
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Team player with a positive attitude
- Organized multitasker with good time-management skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Have strong attention to detail and excellent interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English / Spanish is a plus
